Enterprise Adoption

Before an enterprise can adopt social media and social tools – it must first change its behavior. This may sound like an obvious statement – but overcoming the inertia established by years of corporate cultures is incredibly difficult. For instance, consider this use case: Taking Meeting Minutes

Traditional Enterprise: Someone takes notes, types them up, saves them in file share and sends them out to the attendee list. Everyone who receives this email reads and clicks “reply-all” with their comments. uhg.

Enterprise 2.0: Someone takes notes in the meeting into a meeting WIKI. The workspace for the meeting would have been attached to the invite for the meeting. After the meeting – participants make edits and comments to the content.

V-Next: The meeting would never have “formally” taken place. An issue would have come up – discussed in a online (probably mobile platform) and been resolved before invitiations and workspaces were ever created.

The question is: how do we go from the comfort of “Traditional Enterprise” to V-Next as soon as possible.
